Community Involvement

As a resident of the Florida Gulf Coast for more than 25 years, David Reed, CEO of ShredQuick believes that companies have a responsibility to support the communities in which they do business.

Here’s how David, his wife Colleen and their entire ShredQuick family give back to the local community:

Supporting Non-Profit Organizations

ShredQuick donates a portion of our revenue to The Children’s Home and Big Brothers Big Sisters.  Both organizations do wonderful work with children who need some help.

The Children’s Home is a child and family-centered organization that is positioned to care for struggling families and children seeking the comfort of a loving family. With roots that can be traced back to 1892, they have been a beacon in the community—providing a safe haven for children who have suffered abuse, neglect, or abandonment. Visit The Children’s Home’s website.

Logo of Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast

Big Brothers / Big Sisters of the Sun Coast believes that inherent in every child is the ability to succeed and thrive in life. Big Brothers Big Sisters makes meaningful, monitored matches between adult volunteers (“Bigs”) and children (“Littles”), ages 6 through 18, in the communities we serve. We develop positive relationships that have a direct and lasting effect on the lives of young people. Visit the Big Brothers / Big Sisters of the Sun Coast’s website.

Supporting Local Businesses

ShredQuick’s support of our community doesn’t end with assistance to deserving non-profit groups. Unlike national shredding companies where only 43% of their income stays in the community, 73% of ShredQuick’s income stays in our community. Our profits are not shipped out of state. We reinvest the profits earned from our customers back into our community.

We also buy from locally-owned businesses whenever possible and do all we can to help promote local businesses to our customers.

Shred Day Events

ShredQuick promotes document security within our community with Shred Day Events that support both for-profit and non-profit local organizations. We provide marketing assistance for each event, along with staff and shredding trucks. If you’d like to learn more about how we can help your organization with a Shred Day Event of your own, just give us a call at 1-866-934-3300 or complete the form on this page to get in touch.
